The way in which you add a live stream to your MV PRO 3 website depends on what platform you are drawing your live stream feed from.
Facebook Live
To embed a live stream from Facebook Live:
-
First, you will need to make sure your Facebook page is connected to your MV PRO 3 website.
-
On the Page/Post/Event on which you want to embed the live stream, choose the Content Block icon from the text editor menu
Select Live Video. The following box will appear.
-
You may upload a photo (16:9 ratio) that will serve as a background image for the Facebook Live frame until your video starts.
-
On this panel, you will set whether or not the live stream will be a one-time occurrence or a recurring event.
-
Select the days and time the live stream will occur. Time is set using a 24 hour clock.
Note: it is important that you set the time for when you are sure that your live stream feed from Facebook will have already started. Facebook limits the number of times a website can ask or query a live stream feed. If you begin your live stream AFTER the time set on your website, it is very unlikely that the website will pick up the feed.
YouTube or Vimeo
How you embed a live steam from YouTube or Vimeo depends on how you are using those platforms.
To begin, select the the Insert Video icon from the menu bar in the text editor.
-
For a single YouTube Premiere, which is a scheduled live stream video, paste the full URL of the video – available from the YouTube “Share” function – in the box. Check the box that indicates that this video has a premiere date and time, and set the MM/DD/YYYY and Hour/Minute fields.
-
Alternately, if you are using a YouTube Playlist to which you are feeding your live stream, you will paste the entire YouTube embed code in the box. This is found by clicking on the YouTube share function, then clicking on the “Embed code” choice. Copy the entire embed code that is generated.
-
Vimeo works similarly to YouTube. For a single Vimeo video, paste the URL of the video – available from the Vimeo “Share” function – in the box. For a Vimeo showcase, you will need to locate and past the entire embed code.
