Instead of relying on video, livestream or social platforms to deliver video content to users, MV Pro allows users to watch a livestream or pre-recorded video on the site. This affords your organization better control of the user experience. The video/livestream can be accompanied by a downloadable bulletin, a donation link, a visitor card link, and other materials not available on other platforms. This also accommodates people who do not use social media or are not as adept at searching for video content on YouTube or Vimeo.
As stated in this knowledge base article, you cannot upload a video to the MV platform except in the case of a video replacement for slides. Rather, the MV platform embeds an existing video onto a page from Youtube, Vimeo, Facebook or elsewhere. Videos to be displayed on the site must first be uploaded onto a platform such as those mentioned previously, and then linked to or embedded onto the MV platform.
Video, including live streams, can be embedded from:
- Facebook:
- Pros: Live streaming is highly accessible via Facebook, and anyone without access to Facebook can watch livestreams on your website. Facebook Live embeds can be scheduled, triggering the website to automatically pull the live stream feed at a designated time, both for single occurrence and recurring events.
- Cons: Facebook is not a video platform. While streaming from Facebook works well, troubleshooting and maintenance for videos on Facebook may not be ideal if assistance is needed. Because of erroneous copyright violations on behalf of Facebook, once the live stream has ended, the video may not be available for embed directly from the subsequent live streamed video. To facilitate viewing videos after a live stream has ended on Facebook, videos must be uploaded to another platform - like YouTube or Vimeo - to display.

**Because of MV Pro's integration with Facebook, Facebook is the more reliable source for live streaming. The platforms below are still great options, but are at higher risk of complicated troubleshooting due to our inability to manage our control over the live streaming function.
- YouTube
- Pros: Uploading videos to YouTube is facilitated with a clean and clear step-by-step process. Videos can be grouped in Playlists, and the entire Playlist can be embedded on the site, allowing a user to view previous recordings. Depending on the status and level of YouTube account, live streaming to YouTube may be available and possible to embed on the site.
- Cons: Auto-generated captions are not very good, which is an accessibility consideration
