The MV platform provides integration with Spotify, Google Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, PocketCasts, and TuneIn Radio. This allows any podcast media, such as weekly sermon recordings or clergy conversations, to be automatically published to external platforms shortly after they are uploaded to the MV platform.
Creating a podcast channel on the MV platform will dictate:
- the podcast’s title,
- the podcast’s description, and
- the podcast’s type (likely religion & spirituality)
The default image associated with the podcast, sized 1400 x 1400 pixels. It is best practice to include the name of the podcast as well as the name and/or logo of the church on the image.
Uploading a podcast episode on the MV platform includes:
- the title of the individual episode/recording,
- a description of the episode/recording,
- tagging & adding the episode/recording to a series, and
- the premiere date and time of the episode/recording
You will need to make the following decisions:
- What types of content exists to be uploaded as a podcast?
- For example: we have weekly sermons and a monthly reflection from the rector.
- What content is available in audio format?
- Will this podcast content l be uploaded to platforms outside of the MV platform – to Spotify, Apple Podcast, Google Podcasts, etc?
- This will inform which platforms you want to create podcasting accounts for, with each of those platforms.
