When a Page is shown as a child page on a parent page, the display features a thumbnail of the Feature Image and an automatically generated excerpt that is comprised of the first few lines of text on the page.
If you want to customize the text that is displayed, you can do that by going to the Page, choosing Customizations: Alternative Content. In the Excerpt field, you can add whatever text you would like to be used whenever the page is shown as a child page or an embedded page.
Alternative Content: Excerpt is also important to use when a page has no text, but only an embedded Content Block, such as a form, a photo gallery, a video viewer, or calendar. In those instances, there will be no text to create an automatically generated excerpt and therefore there will be no automatically generated "Read More" button. In those instances, creating an Excerpt, and adding text, will then cause a "Read More" button to appear.
