It may be that you are trying to view a Post, Event, Page, or Slide that is not active. When you enter a Post or an Event, you can save a Draft version, or Schedule it to appear later. When you go to the grid that displays Posts or Events, however, only Posts and Events that are currently Published will appear in the grid. To see Draft, Scheduled, or Expired Posts or Events, go to the Status column of the grid, and select the appropriate Status. (Note, to see the grid display of Events, which shows Draft, Scheduled, or Expired Events, toggle from the Calendar view to the List view.) 

Only Active and Scheduled Slides appear in the grid display. Inactive Slides are available by selecting Inactive from the Status column of the slide grid. 

Likewise, Pages may be made Inactive. The grid that displays Pages will only show Active Pages. To see Inactive Pages, go to the Status column of the grid and select "Inactive."
